Our times together with The Vine emphasize community, worship, and mission.  Our current meeting place is the Lion's Den Community room at the base of the Adanac Towers (770 Commercial Dr., see Locations).  When you come you’re welcome to dress comfortably (no need for a suit and tie!).  Children are always welcome and we most often have a lesson organized for them.  Food has also been a centerpiece of our meetings.  We love to share food with each other, and we generally begin our times together with a potluck that everyone is welcome to join.
 
Often our gatherings will have some time at the beginning to chat and meet new people.  We’ll eat together and share any news or announcements.  Then we sing songs to God.  Sharing new songs that members have written is encouraged!  We take communion together (for those who so desire), pray together, and give to the work of the church.  Sometimes we share personal stories and prayer requests with each other.  Finally, a member of the community comes prepared to share a lesson or facilitate a study based on the Bible’s teachings.

When we gather in Jesus' name, we expect to experience the presence of God somehow in our time together.  We can't dictate how God will allow us to feel His presence during our gatherings.  But it is a wonderful and powerful thing to sense God's Spirit among us.
 
Some of our gatherings are entirely devoted to building community or to serving our neighbourhood.  Also, since The Vine is in the beginning stages of being formed, we will often talk about our vision for the future and plans to work toward this vision.   

A Final note: our church celebrates the diversity of all ethnic groups found in the Vancouver area!  Our gatherings are in English, but we do our best to welcome people of all languages and all cultures.
